Clinical training simulation systems
Ongoing R&D work for a clinical training simulation company, building the software behind a hardware-integrated system that teaches physical examination technique. A large focus is real-time sensor data processing: turning raw touch and pressure readings into something a learner can act on in the moment. But the real challenge is instructional, not technical — designing feedback and UX that teaches a physical skill, sequencing training so the basics stick before layering on harder assessment, and rethinking the visualizations as we find out what actually helps students build the right muscle memory. I work across the stack, from the hardware-facing backend to the frontend feedback systems, and a good chunk of the job is prototyping approaches that don't exist yet and seeing what sticks.
EV charging mobile apps
Ongoing iOS and Android work for an EV charging equipment company, modernizing an existing app pair as the product evolves. I maintain two separate codebases in parallel, keeping features and fixes consistent across both. Work ranges from new feature builds to bug fixes to testing against physical charger hardware, making sure the app and device work together correctly.
